Should the participants have their own 'work that matters to them'?

Do the 'participants' need to have their own product to ship/work that matters to them?

Some of the people I'm considering inviting either work for someone else or 'trying to figure their own thing out,' but don't necessarily have their own product.

Or, should we just invite people for the sake of exploring/considering the curriculum, regardless of whether it's currently relevant to them?

Thanks for the opportunity,

The course is designed to help those that have the passion, but not the direction, to start a project. They don't need to have their own project, just the desire to get started.
